Keeping track of a large family is exactly what you think it is….
It’s a lot of work.
Between everyone’s schedules, work, kid activities, church commitments, family, medical appointments, you can imagine the ball gets dropped.
Add to it all the things you need to remember to buy to keep the house running smoothly. The groceries, toilet paper, diapers, paper products, and hygiene products.
This is why our brains are fried. Like literal mush.
I once asked my husband where he ate for lunch that day and he reminded me that he came home for lunch. I made him lunch. I couldn’t remember 4 hours earlier.
Anyone else?
To make things easier, I’m trying to find ways to save both time and money and have some brain cells left at the end of the day.
The best way for me to do this is to make my life as automated as possible. Why?
Because then things get done without me having to think about it.
Enter Amazon Subscribe and Save.
Since putting things on Subscribe and Save it’s been so nice to not worry if we have things like toilet paper because it gets delivered automatically to my door.
#winning.
Let’s’ talk about why this is so great.
4 Reasons to Automate Purchases with Subscribe and Save
1. Saves Money
Using Subscribe and save on Amazon saves money. Granted not all the things are cheaper than running to Walmart.
But if there isn’t too much of a difference, I will go ahead and get it anyways especially if I’m buying other things.
It also saves me from impulse purchases I would make if I ran to the store.
You also get a bigger discount on the products you buy when you add them to subscribe and save. If you have 5 qualifying purchases, you will save an additional 15%- 20% (usually) on those items.
2. Saves time.
Depending on where you live in relation to your store, running out because you forget something sucks up time. Even though I live in a smallish town, it’s still about a 5-10 minute drive each way depending on the lights.
Add another 10-15 minutes in the stores, and that’s around 45 minutes.
If you do it multiple times a week, it gets to be very draining.
Having things delivered to my door saves so much time that I can be doing other things, like laundry or writing. Plus, when it’s winter here, just thinking about going outside makes me cold.
3. Delivered to your Door.
I love this.
Delivered to my door.
I like not having to go to the store all the time. It can start to feel like you do when you have a large family consuming a large number of things. Also since it’s delivered to my door I don’t have to spend money on gas. Winning all around.
4. Frees up your mind.
This is the best part. I don’t have to keep a running tab of what we are running out of.
There are times when we may use a little more quickly before our next order comes, but for the most part, I know we are set.
Subscribe and Save can be done monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, however, you choose.
Maybe you need somethings monthly but others only every two months, you can set it up that way and it works like clockwork.
I love knowing there are always diapers and wipes in my basement because seriously, we all know the horror of using the last diaper at 10 o’clock at night.
Knock out those annoying errands by automating
Running a large household is a lot of work. As moms, we are pulled in so many ways and are always making sure everyone has what the need when they need it.
Using Subscribe and Save is almost like having an assistant. Just when you think you are going to run out of something, it shows up at your door and you can take care of more important things.
It also can really help your finances as you get a deeper discount, plus you avoid gas and impulse purchases.
